Founder, President and CEO

Venkatraman Junnotula, Ph.D is a senior bioanalytical scientist with 15 years of experience in method development and regulated bioanalysis of small molecules, biomarkers and protein therapeutics. Dr. Junnotula has thorough understanding of theory and principles behind routinely used analytical techniques in the bioanalysis. He has working experience in both pharmaceutical industry and contract research organization. During these years, he was involved in collaborations within DMPK groups and cross functional teams. Dr. Junnotula is experienced in drafting guidance documents, manuscripts, protocols and reports. He has a good understanding of GLP and GCP requirements, and FDA/EMA/ICH guidelines.

Prior to establishing QRD Pharma, Dr. Junnotula worked in GSK for 11 years. At GSK, he provided bio-analytical support for more than 70 molecules at various stages of drug development and across several therapeutic areas that including oncology, respiratory, dermatology, neurology and infectious diseases. In GSK, Dr. Junnotula was also a subject matter expert in bioanalysis for several complex molecules. In subject matter expert role, he provided scientific guidance to CRO’s.

Before joining GSK, Dr. Junnotula worked as a research scientist in QPS LLC (CRO) for more than 3 years, where he developed and validated 30 bioanalytical assays for the quantification of small molecules and their metabolites in variety of biological matrices. At QPS, he was also responsible for training junior staff, preparing study packages for regulatory audits, drafting protocols and reports, and communicating with clients.

Dr. Junnotula received his Ph.D in medicinal chemistry from University of Missouri, Columbia, USA under Prof. Kent S Gates mentorship. He published several papers in peer reviewed journals in the research areas of medicinal chemistry and bioanalysis. Some of his research work is well recognized in the scientific community with more than 50 citations.
